Live-attenuated Influenza Vaccine with Alpha-1, 3-Galactosyltransferase Expression to Enhance Immune Response

The project develops a next-generation flu vaccine engineered to trigger a stronger immune response. By incorporating a natural sugar molecule (a-Gal), it effectively "flags" infected cells, directing the body's existing antibodies to rapidly eliminate them. This enhanced targeting mechanism results in broader and more robust protection against influenza, with significant potential to improve vaccine efficacy for global seasonal and pandemic preparedness.
