Centre for Translational Stem Cell Biology

The success rate of clinical trials in drug development remains low, with approximately 90% of drugs failing during human trials due to the complex differences in human biology. Additionally, around 98% of medications lack comprehensive maternal-fetal safety policies. This innovative solution uses EPSCs generated from just 3-4 drops of blood, which are mutation-free and highly programmable, as biological siblings for testing. Their totipotent ability allows differentiation into all cell types and placental-like tissues, enabling more accurate safety assessments and accelerating drug discovery and safety testing.

Mixed and Augmented Reality as a 3D Analysis and Data Collection Tool for Archaeological Excavations / Ararat Plain Southeast Archaeological Project (APSAP)

This project develops a novel approach to managing information in archaeological excavations. The use of Mixed and Augmented Reality headsets provides 3D visual information in a way that has never been seen before. Different contexts excavated years apart can be revisited and studied in original locations in three dimensions. AR smart glasses help archaeologists record textual and photographic information through voice commands and AI agents without occupying their hands. Further laboratory work to organize notes and save information is no longer necessary.
